For its third fiscal quarter ending 12/31/22, Sega Sammy saw sales increase 20% to Â¥122 billion (nearly $1.1 billion).  Sales in the entertainment contents division rose 33% to Â¥94 billion (about $800 million), with video game sales for that division growing 39% to Â¥68 billion. For the latest quarter ending 12/31/22, Square Enix (9684.T-JP: Tokyo) (OTC: SQNNY) saw revenue decline 12% to ¥92,224 million (about $800 million).  Mobile game sales were down 25%, HD game sales were up 10%, and MMO game sales were down 41%.  For the nine-month period ending 12/31/22, sales were down 7%, however, profit was up 16% to ¥46,397 million. Nintendo Direct Highlights Solid 2023 Lineup

Nintendo Lowers Switch Forecast Again

For the third fiscal quarter ending 12/31/22, Nintendo announced revenue declined 8% to Â¥638,204.  Switch unit sales declined 23% in Q3 to 8.2 million.  For the full fiscal year ending 3/31/23, Nintendo lowered its forecast for Switch hardware units to 18 million. Sony Game and Network Services Revenue Soars

Sony Group (NYSE: SONY) reported a 13% year-to-year revenue increase for the third quarter ending 12/31/22.  The biggest increase in revenue was the Games and Network Services division which saw revenue increase 53% to ¥1,246,549 million (about $10 billion). AMD Beats Expectations in Q4

For the 4th quarter ending 12/31/22, AMD revenue was up 16% over the previous year to $5.6 billion.  For the full year 2022 AMD revenue was up 44% to $23.6 billion.  Net income for the year was down 58% to $1.32 billion.
