For its third fiscal quarter ending 12/31/22, Sega Sammy saw sales increase 20% to Â¥122 billion (nearly $1.1 billion).  Sales in the entertainment contents division rose 33% to Â¥94 billion (about $800 million), with video game sales for that division growing 39% to Â¥68 billion. For the latest quarter ending 12/31/22, Square Enix (9684.T-JP: Tokyo) (OTC: SQNNY) saw revenue decline 12% to ¥92,224 million (about $800 million).  Mobile game sales were down 25%, HD game sales were up 10%, and MMO game sales were down 41%.  For the nine-month period ending 12/31/22, sales were down 7%, however, profit was up 16% to ¥46,397 million. Compared to the previous year period, Take-Two Interactive (NASDAQ: TTWO) saw revenue grow 56% in its third fiscal quarter ending 12/31/22.  Bookings for the quarter grew 60% over the previous year to $1.38 billion.  However, the company also reported a net loss for the quarter of $153 million versus net income of $145 million in the third quarter ending 12/31/21. Nintendo Lowers Switch Forecast Again

For the third fiscal quarter ending 12/31/22, Nintendo announced revenue declined 8% to Â¥638,204.  Switch unit sales declined 23% in Q3 to 8.2 million.  For the full fiscal year ending 3/31/23, Nintendo lowered its forecast for Switch hardware units to 18 million. Video Game Stock Index Up 12% in January
