In addition to total Angry Birds revenues above $70 million, Rovio recently took in $42 million in investments last March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Impact: The Angry Birds franchise may have gotten its start on iPhone but the key to its success was its ability to use the iPhone success to go truly mass market.\u00a0 Angry Birds is now everywhere and much of the revenue comes from merchandise and licensing.\u00a0 It was not so much about building the game but getting the IP recognized far beyond being just another game.
