The new studio will focus on developing console games. Richard Smith is the technical director at CCP Newcastle, and says the area possesses\u00a0a very experienced console-development talent pool and local universities producing exceptional graduates. The studio&#8217;s\u00a0 first project will be a collaboration with CCP Asia in Shanghai on the development of the upcoming MMO DUST 514 for console platforms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Impact: CCP is the kind of plucky success story we enjoy talking about. During the last decade CCP has wisely devoted resources to extending its development reach between Europe, Asia and North America. Co-developing DUST 514 between Asia and Europe also seems likely to ease consumer adoption in both regions.
