The Blu-ray equipped PlayStation 3 console was not included in the comparison. The group also said that HD DVD movie sales improved greatly during the last week of May, at more than 75,000 discs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Impact: Next-generation video game systems remain the best driver for high-definition adoption by consumers. Sales on both platforms so far show that dedicated HD players have yet to provide consumers a compelling argument for investing in HD compared to the PS3, or the Xbox 360.
