The Video Game Genre report uses DFC Intelligence forecasts for hardware sales of individual console and portable game systems but takes it a step further by matching up expected hardware sales, expected consumer demographic and how sales are forecasted to differ by platform based on the specific features of a game such as licenses, marketing spend etc. The report includes specific forecasts for expected U.S. game sales for individual game titles by platform from the period 2008-2010 in 40 different game genres. Each title is forecasted under 7 different scenarios for each platform (Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PSP, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and Microsoft Xbox 360). The report comes with an 87 page report plus an Excel spreadsheet file that allows for custom data manipulation.
